News feeds - toddlersteps

To continue the metaphor my initial babysteps into the land of feedreaders definitely resulted in a big wobble, my legs going out from under me and me landing on my metaphorically nappied bottom.

However with thanks to some blog posts from beth Goy and Bookbandit, I have followed the instructions and have now managed to subscribe to a feed, and although I'm still wobbly I feel like I'm now on my feet.  I think I will end the use of this metaphor here.

  1. I found RSS feeds a bit fiddly to get the hang of too, but I think it's just a case of playing around with it when you have the time. Oh, and you can never have too many metaphors - well, this is what I tell myself, at least ;)

  2. Would agree with Bookbandit, the more you get stuck in and have a play with all this technology the easier it gets. Sometimes the hardest thing I've found is getting my head round the initial concept - what the bleep is a feedreader! - for example. Happily you do get 'lightbulb' moments when it all suddenly makes sense to your brain cells!
