I retweeted last week. It was a nice quote about librarians. I found some more as well.
“[Librarians] are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like plotting the revolution, man. I wouldn't mess with them.”
― Michael Moore
“Google can bring you back 100,000 answers, a librarian can bring you back the right one.”
― Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman has another quite pithy quote about librarians, basically suggesting that our customers shouldn't mess us around, except more succinct. I suspect that won't be included on the walls of the new North Road library, although seeing the sentiment inscribed across the lintel as students enter might encourage better behaviour.
Does any one else have some good quotes, maybe we could give them out as bookmarks with the studentship books...or maybe not. Feel free to comment!
